Feature request: allow plugins to push custom data to the D200X background zone
Hi,I'd like to suggest a feature for the D200X background zone (the bottom display area).
Currently, this zone only supports built-in data sources like CPU+RAM+GPU, time, date, etc. It would be very useful to allow plugins to push custom dynamic data into this zone, similar to how the CPU+RAM+GPU widget works — but with user-defined values.
Use cases:
- TikTok / YouTube / Twitch live stats (followers, views, likes)
- Home Assistant sensor values
- Custom app metrics
- Weather data
The ideal implementation would be a new plugin API method (e.g. setBackgroundFeed()) that lets a plugin update the 3 labeled values displayed in the background zone, refreshed at a custom interval.
This would make the D200X significantly more powerful for streamers and creators who want to monitor real-time data at a glance.
Thank you for considering this! Hello, thank you very much for your suggestion.
Based on your description, it seems you would like to enable plugin customization for the long button in the bottom-right corner. We have taken note of this request and will forward it to the Product Department for thorough evaluation.
