Spotify "Now Playing" in time/date window

I'd like to be able to replace the time and date in the wide information view key to show Now Playing info from Spotify.

I could write the plugin myself with the SDK, but the SDK exposes no API for changing that window’s content. Even better if you could update the existing plugin to allow it.

Hello, there are currently no APIs available for the widescreen SDK. Due to changes in the framework, there are no plans to add them in the near future.
