Hello, based on the information you provided, we believe the following possibilities may exist. You can check them off one by one.
Option 1: Insufficient USB Power.
1. Make sure the USB cable is connected directly to a USB port on your computer; do not use a docking station or hub as an intermediary.
2. If connected directly to the computer, try using a different USB port. (For desktop computers, connect to a USB port on the motherboard at the back of the case.)
3. If using Mac OS, test both USB-A and USB-C ports to rule out unstable connections.
4. Try using a different USB cable to rule out a cable malfunction.
Scenario 2: Reinstall the firmware application by running the script. (Windows only)
1. On a Windows computer, open the link below in your browser and download the script file.
https://cdn.ulanzistudio.com/sharing/Update_2.0.3_260227.zip
2. Unzip the ZIP file, locate “update.bat,” double-click to run it, and wait for the device to reboot. It should enter the system normally in about 20 seconds.
If the script fails to run and the device does not reboot, it indicates that the device’s port is not recognized, which may be due to a firmware system failure. In this case, proceed to the third solution.
Option 3: Firmware Flash
If there is no serial number on the back of your device, or if the serial number starts with 01 or a letter, you can use this method.
Use the RK flashing tool to update the firmware. (Windows only)
1. The compressed file in the link contains a Word tutorial and important precautions—please be sure to read them carefully. There are two IMG files in the folder. Be sure to exit the Ulanzi Studio app before upgrading the RK firmware.
2. The tweezers used for short-circuiting must be conductive. First, use the tweezers to touch both contacts, then plug in the USB cable. Please follow this order strictly, and check whether the RK app detects a new device before proceeding to the next step.
3. If flashing the 2.0.3 IMG file causes the screen to display garbled characters, please flash the 1.7.4 IMG file instead. You can then install the 2.0.19 app version to push the update to 2.0.3. [The download link for version 2.0.19 is provided at the end of the Word document.]
4. After upgrading the firmware app version to 2.0.3, you can update the Ulanzi Studio app to the latest version.
